At Grind City Skills, we challenge players to explore their current skillsets in order to identify their weaknesses and find new skills they can add to their game. Our detailed approach aims to educate players about every single movement they make on the court, offensively and defensively. We provide players with a healthy balance of detailed skill work and live competition. It’s not just about the skills and drills! We make sure players are getting live reps in training so we can assess the real reasons they’re struggling. Players will be challenged every time they come in the gym. In order to grow, we have to become comfortable working on the things we struggle with. This can be a nine-year-old kid missing fifty straight left handed layups before they can make their first one or a high school point guard continuing to guard the best player in the gym even though they just got scored on four straight times. We teach kids to be patient with their development process and provide a roadmap for how to get better. Over the last six years we have helped kids just starting to play the game of basketball, high school kids that got cut and desperately wanted to make the team, as well as college and professional level players.
